Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia met Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal today to discuss the COVID situation in the National Capital. In the meeting of the State Disaster Management Authority held at Lieutenant Governor’s residence Mr. Sisodia highlighted the issue of rising number of COVID cases in the state. Speaking to media, after the meeting, he ruled out community transmission of corona virus and maintained that the Central government will make any such announcement after adequate analysis. Mr. Sisodia emphasised that the decision taken by the state cabinet to reserve Delhi government and private hospitals for residents of the state was based on the projected requirement of atleast 80 thousand beds in the state by the end of next month. Delhi Lieutenant Governor had yesterday overturned the decision allowing everyone to get treated in all hospitals across the state.<\/p>\n

Delhi State Health Minister, Satyendar Jain and other senior health officials were also present in the meeting. Lieutenant Governor has also called for an all party meeting, slated to be held at 3 in the noon today to discuss COVID related containment strategy in the state.<\/p>\n
