{"id":11515,"date":"2020-05-05T05:09:24","date_gmt":"2020-05-04T23:39:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/udaen.info\/?p=11515"},"modified":"2020-05-05T05:09:24","modified_gmt":"2020-05-04T23:39:24","slug":"recovery-rate-of-covid-19-cases-improves-to-over-27-5-in-country-doubling-time-of-cases-slows-down-to-12-days","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/udaen.info\/?p=11515","title":{"rendered":"Recovery rate of COVID-19 cases improves to over 27.5% in country; Doubling time of cases slows down to 12 days"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Recovery rate of COVID-19 cases improves to over 27.5% in country; Doubling time of cases slows down to 12 days<\/h2>\n<div class=\"news-details-img\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"img-responsive img-right\" src=\"http:\/\/newsonair.com\/writereaddata\/News_Pictures\/NAT\/2020\/May\/NPIC-20205418410.jpg\" \/>@PIB_India<\/div>\n<p>A total of \u00a042 thousand 836 \u00a0fresh confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the country so far.\u00a0 Out of them, 11,761 patients have recovered \u00a0after treatment and were discharged from the hospitals while 1,389 patients have died.<\/p>\n<p>Briefing \u00a0media in New Delhi, Health Ministry official said that the \u00a0recovery rate of patients from COVID-19 infection has gone up to 27.52 per cent.\u00a0 He also said that as many as 1,074 COVID-19 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours which is \u00a0the highest number of recoveries recorded in one day,<\/p>\n<p>He also informed that outcome ratio which indicates \u00a0status of closed COVID-19 cases among people who either recovered or passed away, has improved to 90:10 today which was 80:20 on 17th of April.\u00a0 The Health Ministry official said that we are transitioning to a new normal where \u00a0we need to compulsorily wear face masks and covers in public places and \u00a0to follow preventive measures outside containment zones as well. He said, as lockdown is being eased in a staggered manner, it is imperative to continue rigorous containment measures, effective clinical management, infection prevention and control.In pandemics such as COVID-19, historically it has been noted that if social distancing is not respected when social mobility is allowed, chances of disease transmission increase rapidly once restrictions are eased. He said, therefore to \u00a0prevent such a situation and to maintain the benefits of lockdown, people \u00a0should understand their social responsibility and \u00a0diligently follow all protocols and guidelines .<\/p>\n<p>He said, doubling time of COVID19 cases has improved from 3.4 before lockdown to 12 days now. He said, \u00a0lockdown and containment efforts are yielding results, the \u00a0challenge is \u00a0now \u00a0to \u00a0improve this resulting in further increase in doubling time.<\/p>\n<p>Home Ministry official said that the control room set up by the Ministry is working \u00a0round the clock and and so far 12,000 grievances have been addressed till 3rd of this month. She said, the government \u00a0has asked the States to ensure that there are no issues in inter state cargo movement. She said, in case of any difficulties, drivers and transporters \u00a0can contact \u00a0Home Ministry Control Room Number 1930 and NHAI helpline number 1033 to lodge any complaint pertaining to lockdown. She said, considering increasing COVID-19 infection among police and \u00a0security forces, Home Ministry \u00a0has issued advisory to all states, UTs and Central Armed Police Forces, drawing attention to the guidelines \u00a0issued by \u00a0Union Home Ministry on safety at work place.
