Over 790 tonnes of cargo have been transported by these flights till date.<\/p>\n<p>These flights have been operated under Lifeline Udan by Air India, Alliance Air, Indin Air Force and private carriers. 244 of these flights have been operated by Air India and Alliance Air.\u00a0 An Aerial distance of over 4.13 lakh kilometres were covered by Lifeline Udan flights so far.\u2018Lifeline Udan\u2019 flights are being operated by Civil Aviation Ministry \u00a0to transport essential medical cargo to remote parts of the country to support India\u2019s war against COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>Helicopter services including Pawan Hans Ltd have been operating in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Islands and North East region transporting critical medical cargo and patients. Special focus has been on the North East Region, island territories and the hilly states.<\/p>\n<p>In International Sector, a cargo air-bridge was established with East Asia for transportation of pharmaceuticals, medical equipment and Covid-19 relief material. The quantity of medical cargo brought in by Air India is 842 tons. Blue Dart has also transported around 114 tonnes \u00a0of medical supplies from Guangzhou and Shanghai from \u00a014 April to 1st of May 2020.
