Amit Verma is a 2005 batch officer in the Indian Forest Service. He has replaced senior IFS officer PK Patro.<br \/>\nTalking about his priorities, he said that before coming here, he was posted as deputy director of Corbett National Park. During this time he has faced many challenges.<\/p>\n<p>He said reducing elephant deaths on the side of the railway tracks in the Motichur-Kansaro range of the Tiger Reserve and rehabilitating the forest Gujjars residing in the Reserve Area were among his priorities.
