Finance Minister Mr. Prakash Pant launched the “GIS Application for Circle Rate” made by the Stamp and Registration Department at the Headquarters of Commissioner Tax situated on Ring Road on Monday.
Finance Minister, while looking at the history of Land Settlement, informed about the convenience and benefits of GIS application. He said that with GIS application, transparency will come in the purchase process of immovable property and people will get rid of frauds being committed with them. With people having information about e the actual circle rate of property, the problems regarding the unconfirmed information, reduction in the stamp duty to be paid and finding the Circle Rate booklet according to the position of the property, will end.
Finance Secretary Mr. Amit Negi said that this process will benefit the public very much and according to the Zero Tolerance Policy of the Government of Uttarakhand, it is a big step towards providing easy governance and citizen centric services.
On this occasion, Assistant Inspector General (Stamp and Registration Department, Uttarakhand) Mr. S.K. Tripathi said that support of NIC Survey of India has also been taken to make this application.
From departmental website www.eregistration.uk.gov.in, actual details of the property can be obtained by selecting the concerned district-tehsil area (village) through the GIS application.
On this occasion, Additional District Magistrate Veer Singh Budhiyal and the concerned officer and media persons were present.
