A meeting of the Single Window System and the State Authorized Committee, under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Mr. Utpal Kumar Singh, was held at Secretariat Auditorium on Wednesday.
Chief Secretary sought feedback from the entrepreneurs on various suggestions taken by different departments. Chief Secretary directed the officers to resolve the problems of investors by giving personal attention in a speedy manner. The progress of implementation of the MoUs signed during the Investors Summit were reviewed.
Additional Secretary UREDA Captain Alok Shekhar Tiwari informed that the necessary tenders for three small hydroelectric projects of Pithoragarh have been published and the Energy Purchase Agreement for the 2.4 MW capacity Bio Gas Project Power Project by Root Hydrocarbon Pvt. Haridwar has been done with the UPCL and the work of the project has started and the tenders for the Solar and Pirul-based power generation plans have been sent to the Finance Department, which will be published next week. During the discussion on Horticulture, Director Horticulture R.P. Shrivastav said that the Stellar Cold Chain Project, a food and processing unit, costing Rs 18.86 crore, has been established and apprised about the information regarding changes in land use of Sun Light India Agro Productions Limited. He said that about Rs 20 crores will be investeded in this unit, which will be set up in the area of 01 hectare. He also gave updated information on the progress of Himalaya Mega Food Park, Mahua Khera Kashipur Project.
Chief Secretary was informed about the MoUs done department wise by the concerned Secretary/Head of the department.
Approval has been granted by the Authorized Committee on proposals worth Rs 78 crore under the Single Window Act, proposals of Rs 600 crores were related to the permission for land purchase,
Chief Secretary instructed that these should be presented in the forthcoming meeting with comments from the Department of Revenue.
Instructions for expeditious disposal of cases related to grounding of the MoUs were given by the Chief Secretary.
Updated Information on progress of proposals of Excise by Principal Secretary Anand Bardhan, Ayush and IT by RK Sudhanshu, Tourism by Secretary Tourism by Dilip Jawalkar and Health by Secretary Nitesh Jha was given in the meeting.
