CM pays floral tribute to martyr Amit’s bodyChief Minister Trivendra Rawat and Garhwal MP Tirath Singh Rawat paid floral tributes on Tuesday to pay homage to the Sheesh on the mortal remains of Lal Amit Anthwal of Pauri, who was killed in an encounter with terrorists in Kupwara. The Chief Minister said that the government is with the families of the martyrs. Two sons of the state have made their supreme sacrifice. The mortal remains of the martyr were brought by army helicopter to the Ransi Stadium. After the tribute and salute, the body was taken by road to the martyr’s village. Amit Anthwal of Kola village in Kaljikhal development block of Pauri was martyred during an encounter with terrorists on Sunday in Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir. Amit joined the army in 2010. Amit was engaged in July last year. Amit was to get married in October this year. Amit’s body reached the Ransi Stadium in an army helicopter at around 10 am on Tuesday. Chief Minister Trivendra Rawat had reached here earlier. Police personnel saluted martyr Amit’s body in the stadium. After this, Chief Minister Trivendra Rawat, Garhwal Sasand Tirath Singh Rawat, Minister of State Rajendra Anthwal, DM Dhiraj Singh Garbial, SSP Dalip Singh Kunwar, ASP PK Rai and other administrative officials paid floral cycles on the mortal remains of the martyr and paid tribute. Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said that sacrificing his life for the country is the biggest sacrifice of life. Two more soldiers of Uttarakhand have served the country. This is a proud moment for us. In this hour of grief, the government stands with the families of the martyr. Garhwal MP Tirath Singh Rawat said, “We are with the martyr’s family in this hour.” BJP District President Sampat Singh Rawat, ADM Dr. SK Barnwal, CO Vandana Verma, SDM Manish Kumar and CO Sanchar Anoop Kala etc. were present during this period.
