New Delhi, A new era of ultra high-speed internet has started in the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched 5G service at the Indian Mobile Congress-2022 (IMC). On this occasion, two big private sector mobile companies have started 5G mobile service in the country. Airtel started 5G service from Varanasi and Jio from a village in Ahmedabad.
On this occasion, Sunil Mittal, Chairman, Bharti Airtel Limited announced to provide 5G service from today in eight cities of the country including Delhi, Mumbai and Varanasi. Mittal said in his address that this is a very important day. A new era is beginning in the 75th year of independence, which will usher in a new awareness and energy in the country. This will open many new opportunities for the people.
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the 5G service at the India Mobile Congress held at Pragati Maidan in the capital Delhi. Along with this, the 6th India Mobile Congress 2022 (IMC) was also inaugurated from October 1 to 4. Union Minister of Communications, Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnav was also present on the occasion.
